Park Jin-seob (born March 11, 1977 ) is a former South Korean football player and current coach . He last played as a player for Ulsan Hyundai Mipo Dolphin FC . He is currently under contract as a coach at Gwangju FC .
Career as a player
education
He began his education at the Paichai Middle School in 1990, which he attended until 1992. He then went to Paichai High School from 1993 to 1995 . From 1996 to 1999, he attended Korea University and completed his education there. He then moved to Sangmu FC to do his military service.
Player career
His first station was with Sangmu FC, a South Korean military association, where he completed his conscription. His conscription ended at the end of 2001. He then switched to Ulsan Hyundai Horang-i . In the three years as a Horang-i player, he played 91 times for the club and scored 2 goals. In mid-2005, he moved to Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma FC during the summer transfer period . With them he celebrated the championship in 2005 and 2006 . By the end of 2008 he played a total of 97 times for Ilhwa Chunma FC. He then moved to Busan IPark . In the two years at Busan IPark, he could not celebrate any success. By the end of 2010 he had appeared 39 times for Busan. He then moved to Ulsan Hyundai Mipo Dolphin FC in the Korea National League . There he celebrated the league championship in 2011 . By the end of 2012, he played 28 times for the club and scored 2 goals. At the end of 2012 he ended his active playing career.
International career
Jin-seob was first appointed to the South Korean U20 selection in 1997 . For the U20 selection he ran three times and scored two goals. He was then called up from 1999 to 2000 by the South Korean U23 selection . For them he ran a total of 31 times and scored 4 goals. From 1998 to 2004 he was a national player for South Korea . For the country selection he ran a total of 35 times and scored 5 goals.
Career as a coach
After he had finished his active playing career, he was hired as a coach at Gaesung High School . He worked there as a trainer until 2015. In mid-2015 he was signed as co-trainer by his former club Busan IPark . At the beginning of 2016 he became co-trainer with the Pohang Steelers and held this position until the end of 2017. At the beginning of 2018, the club Gwangju FC announced that they had signed him as a coach. Under his leadership, the club played for the play-off places again and again until the end of the season. In the end, the club finished the season in 5th place, which means they just missed the play-off games. So they were eliminated surprisingly early in the cup. They lost in their first cup round against the third division club from the KNL, Daejeon Korail FC, with 1: 3.
