The Parkeisenbahn Bernburg , officially called Parkeisenbahn Krumbholz , is a former pioneer railway in the Saxon-Anhalt city of Bernburg (Saale) , which is now operated by Bernburger Freizeit GmbH as a park railway.
Infrastructure
The railway was built parallel to the Saale in a park on its northwestern bank and opened on June 1, 1969. The 1.9 kilometer long route is single-track , has a gauge of 600 millimeters and serves two train stations and three stops . In contrast to other systems of this type, it is not designed as a circuit, but as a linear route. The parking area for the train , which is pulled by a diesel locomotive, is located at Rosenhag station .
vehicles
The following vehicles are used:
- the Schöma - small locomotive CHL 40G " Krumbholz-Liese ," Year 1997 with a diesel engine of the Deutz AG , which / has a power of 52 kW 71 hp.
- a mining locomotive from Škoda , built in 1958, which received a new engine from Mercedes-Benz in 1991/92 .
