Heinz Sünker

Heinz Sünker (born February 17, 1948 in Schüttorf ) is a German social pedagogue and professor emeritus at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal .

Life

Heinz Sünker attended 1954-1966 Schools and made 1966 the Office School Ibbenbüren graduated from high school. In the 1967 summer semester he began studying German and Protestant theology at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . In the 1969 summer semester he moved to the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg , where he studied philosophy and education. In 1972 he passed his state examination in German and Protestant theology. Until 1975 he was involved in youth facilities in Emlichheim .

From 1974 to 1976 Sünker worked in the state center for political education in Hesse and in a youth welfare agency . In 1973 he passed his state examination in philosophy and received a teaching position at the educational science seminar at Heidelberg University. In 1976 he completed his master's degree in education in Heidelberg. In 1978 he was a study assessor in Mannheim, in 1980 he became a scientific assistant for educational sciences at Bielefeld University . In the winter semester 1983/84 he did his doctorate with the topic "Educational Theory and Educational Practice. Prolegomena for the Restructuring of the Subject Reference in Educational Science", in 1988 he qualified as a professor.

In the winter semester 1989/1990 he was appointed university lecturer and two years later was appointed to the Bergische Universität Wuppertal . In 2000 he was visiting professor at the School of Social Welfare at the University of California . In 2015 he received the “World Lion” for his work in the field of international networking at the Bergische Universität. After his retirement in 2016, he was awarded the " Rudolf Carnap Senior Professorship" for his significant contribution to the long-term profile of the university .
