Parras de la Fuente is a city in the south of the Mexican state Coahuila with 33,817 inhabitants and the administrative seat of the Municipio Parras . There are many factories in the city that produce denim fabrics . Since 2004 the city is also officially a Pueblo Mágico .

history

Parras de la Fuente was founded in 1598. In 1846 Parras was occupied by the Americans during the Mexican-American War . The place is known for its wines, the summer wine festival and a church built on a high rock that overlooks the city.
