Partner for innovation

Partner for Innovation was the most comprehensive innovation initiative in the history of the Federal Republic to date, which was supposed to ensure a more innovation-friendly climate in Germany. Between the beginning of 2004 and the end of 2006 more than 400 experts worked in 15 specialist and working groups in the initiative. Together, lighthouse projects were created and recommendations for action for politics were drawn up. Examples of lighthouse projects are "Energy Efficient Schools" from the Energy Impulse Group and the "Digital Hospital of the Future" from the Health Impulse Group.

With Du bist Deutschland , the campaign by German media companies as part of the "Partner for Innovation" campaign, the largest social marketing campaign in the history of the Federal Republic took place between September 2005 and February 2006 . According to the campaigners, more than 1.3 billion contacts were reached with the free media volume of over 32 million euros.

The initiative was founded in January 2004. In addition to the federal government, 17 top managers from large companies and research institutions such as BASF , BDI , Bertelsmann , DGB , Deutsche Telekom , EnBW , Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft , Harting , Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin , IBM , Lufthansa , Roland Berger Strategy Consultants , Schering were partners in the initiative , Siemens and ThyssenKrupp .

On October 26, 2006, the initiative took stock in Berlin. Chancellor Angela Merkel praised the work of the "Partners for Innovation", as they have made an important contribution to a better climate for innovation in Germany: "This was an initiative that, from my point of view, brought about something that shaped opinion and changed mentality in Germany."

The initiative's slogan was making ideas successful . The initiative was overseen by the fischerAppelt agency .
