The Partridge Point Brook is a 90 km long tributary of the Labrador Sea in the east of Labrador in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador .

River course

The headwaters of Partridge Point Brook is located 27 km north-northwest of the west end of Double Mer Bay at an altitude of about 350  m . Partridge Point Brook initially flows about 25 miles to the east. It then turns 5 km to the southeast before turning to the southwest. At river kilometers 25.8 and 3.4 the river overcomes a waterfall each. However, these are not considered to be a particular obstacle for migratory fish . Partridge Point Brook finally flows into the north shore of the elongated Double Mer bay, which lies north of Lake Melville and opens up to Groswater Bay . The estuary is about 5 km from the western end of the bay. The municipality of Rigolet is 72 km to the east. The catchment area of Partridge Point Brook covers 855 km². To the west it borders on that of the Main River .

Fish fauna

The anadromous form of the brook trout is believed to be common in Partridge Point Brook. There is also a small population of salmon in the river system.
