Parviz Mir-Ali

Parviz Mir-Ali (* 1967 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German-Iranian composer , sound designer and film producer .

Life

Parviz Mir-Ali, son of the Iranian doctor Dr. Ashgar Mir-Ali and the German doctor Dr. Ursula Seger, lives in Frankfurt am Main.

He received his first piano lessons at the age of six. He began studying composition, composition and piano with Lieselotte Böhn and Georg Balkheimer in Frankfurt / M.

This was followed by engagements as a pianist and composer in various music and theater productions - both in the classical environment and in the field of pop and jazz.

In 1990 he trained as a sound engineer at the Soundmaster Recording Institute Los Angeles .

He then worked as a sound engineer, arranger and producer in the "Wild Imagination Studios" and the recording studios of the Soundmaster Recording Institute Los Angeles.

In 1994 P. Mir-Ali moved to New York and worked until 1998 as a sound engineer, arranger and producer in the "Platinum Island Studios", where he worked on projects with Michael Jackson , Chaka Khan , C + C Music Factory and Pat Metheny, among others worked.

In 1998 he founded SL15 Media GmbH and Meirelli OST GmbH in Frankfurt am Main.

In 2002 he composed the opera "Deutschland, Deine Lieder", the opening event of the Ruhrtriennale in Essen , which took place in the world cultural heritage "Zeche Zollverein" under the direction of Gerard Mortier.

P. Mir-Ali composed and produced the soundtrack for the opening event of the soccer World Cup “Skyarena”, which took place in Frankfurt am Main in June 2006. At this event, the city skyline became the projection surface for a cinematic event that turned the entire city center into a gigantic stage.

The soundtrack of this music-dramatic event, composed by Parviz Mir-Ali, was recorded by the symphony orchestra and the big band of the Hessischer Rundfunk.

Around one million people as well as countless viewers on television and radio sets worldwide were able to experience this event live.

Parviz Mir-Ali is currently involved in various international stage projects and film productions.
