Emmanuel Obbo
Emmanuel Obbo AJ (born October 7, 1952 in Nagoke , Uganda ) is a Ugandan clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Tororo .
Life
Emmanuel Obbo joined the religious order of the Congregation of the Apostles of Jesus , made his profession on December 8, 1979 and was ordained a priest on December 13, 1986 .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on June 27, 2007 Bishop of Soroti . The former bishop of Soroti, Erasmus Desiderius Wandera , donated him episcopal ordination on October 6th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Denis Kiwanuka Lote , Archbishop of Tororo , and James Odongo , Military Bishop of Uganda .
On January 2, 2014, Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Tororo. Until the appointment of a successor, he administers the diocese of Soroti as apostolic administrator .
