The military ordinariate of Uganda is the military ordinariate in Uganda and is responsible for the armed forces of Uganda .
history
The military ordinariate of Uganda provides pastoral care to members of the Ugandan armed forces of Catholic denomination. It was established by Pope Paul VI. Established on January 20, 1964 as a military vicariate . By mutual agreement between the Holy See and the Republic of Uganda, the headquarters of the Uganda Military Ordinary is in Mbale . It was raised to a diocese on July 21, 1986 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Spirituali militum curae .
