Pasban Khatme Nabuwwat

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pasban-e Khâtm-e Nabuwwat (“Keeper of the Prophet's Seal”) is the programmatic name of a Pakistani organization that has set itself the task of combating the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community , which deviates from Islamic orthodoxy .

At the instigation of the Khatme Nabuwwat, Ahmadis were declared non-Muslims by the Pakistani parliament in 1974; a law even made blasphemy a death penalty. Professor emeritus Munir D. Ahmed from the Orient Institute , initially a missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, later excluded from the religious community after disputes, says of the Khatme Nabuwwat: “You are responsible for at least a hundred murders of Ahmadis in Pakistan. With religious slogans they turn people into assassins. "

Since 1996 Ahmadi Muslims have been threatened in Germany; a bounty of $ 250,000 was placed on the caliphate ul-Massih of the Islamic denomination Ahmadiyya. 1997–1998 individual attacks with a focus on Baden-Württemberg were registered. The Stuttgart constitutional protector Herbert Müller considers the group to be "just as dangerous as the Afghan Taliban"; his agency first listed them as "radical forces on the Pakistani political scene" in its annual report.
