Pasha Rafiy

Pasha Rafiy (born 1980 in Tehran ) is a Luxembourg photographer and filmmaker who has lived in Vienna since 2001 .

Pasha Rafiy was born in Tehran in 1980 and moved with his family from Iran to Luxembourg in 1985 . In 2001 he moved to Vienna to study. In 2008 he graduated from the University of Vienna . He works as the head of the photo editor of the Austrian daily newspaper Die Presse . From autumn 2014 he followed the Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn with his camera for over a year on his travels around the world, which resulted in “Foreign Affairs” (2015), his first long documentary .
