Paso de Castilla

Paso De Castilla ( Spanish , in Argentina Paso Cramer Norte ) is a strait off the Danco coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located between Lemaire Island and Lautaro Island and connects the Gerlache Strait with the Lientur Canal .

Chilean scientists named it after the Spanish navigator Gabriel de Castilla (1577-1620). The namesake of the Argentine name is the French-born hydrographer and cattle breeder Ambrosio Crámer (1792–1839), who died in the rebellion against the Argentine dictator Juan Manuel de Rosas .
