Passion window in Saint-Père-Marc-en-Poulet

The Passion Window in the St-Pierre Catholic Church in Saint-Père-Marc-en-Poulet , a French commune in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in the Brittany region , was created in the 14th century. The stained glass window was added to the list of architectural monuments in France in 1919 as Monument historique .

The window comes from an unknown workshop. It was taken over from the old church in the new church built in 1901. The window shows various scenes from Jesus' ordeal and Christ's descent into hell .

Below are the founder Jean de Tréal (behind whom the apostle Peter stands), his wife and on the right his family (with the apostle Paul ). In the center is the crowned Madonna and Child on a throne flanked by angels.

In the tracery , among other things, the symbols of the evangelists Johannes (eagle) and Markus (lion) are shown.
