Saint-Père-Marc-en-Poulet ( Breton : Sant-Per-Poualed ) is a French municipality with 2298 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Malo and the canton of Dol-de-Bretagne (until 2015: canton of Châteauneuf-d'Ille-et-Vilaine ). The inhabitants are called Péréens .
Originally known as Saint-Père , the municipality changed its name to the current name of Saint-Père-Marc-en-Poulet by decree N ° 2018-956 of November 5, 2018 .
geography
The municipality is located about eleven kilometers south-southeast of Saint-Malo on the Rance estuary . It is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Jouan-des-Guérets in the north and northwest, Saint-Méloir-des-Ondes in the northeast, La Gouesnière in the east and northeast, Saint-Guinoux in the southeast, Miniac-Morvan and Châteauneuf-d'Ille -et-Vilaine in the south, La Ville-ès-Nonais in the south-west, Saint-Suliac in the west and south-west and Le Minihic-sur-Rance in the west on the other side of the estuary.
