Pleine-Fougères ( Breton : Planfili ; Gallo : Plleune foujërr ) is a French commune with 1,980 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in the northeast of the Brittany region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Malo and the Dol-de-Bretagne (until 2015: Canton Pleine-Fougères ). The inhabitants are called Pleine-Fougerais .
geography
Pleine-Fougères is about ten kilometers south of the coast of the English Channel on the border with the Manche department . Pleine-Fougères is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sains in the north and northwest, Saint-Georges-de-Gréhaigne in the north and northeast, Pontorson in the east, Sougéal in the south and southeast, Vieux-Viel in the south, Trans-la-Forêt in the south and Southwest and La Boussac in the west.
