Saint-Marcan church

Saint-Marcan ( Breton : Sant-Marc'han , Gallo : Saent-Marqaen ) is a French municipality with 448 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Malo and the canton of Dol-de-Bretagne (until 2015: canton of Pleine-Fougères ). The inhabitants are called Marcanais .

Saint-Marcan is located about 29 kilometers east-southeast of Saint-Malo . Saint-Marcan is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Broladre in the north and west, Roz-sur-Couesnon in the east and north-east and Sains in the south.
