La Richardais ( Breton : Kerricharzh-an-Arvor ) is a French municipality with 2295 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . La Richardais belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Malo and the canton of Saint-Malo-2 (canton of Dinard until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Richardiens (es) .
geography
La Richardais is located on the western side of the Rance estuary on the Emerald Coast about four kilometers southwest of Saint-Malo . The southern border of the municipality is formed by the small river Étanchet . La Richardais is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Dinard in the north and north-west, on the eastern side of the estuary Saint-Malo and Pleurtuit in the south and south-west.
