Le Vivier-sur-Mer ( Breton : Gwiver , Gallo : Le Vivier ) is a French municipality with 1039 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Malo and the canton of Dol-de-Bretagne . The inhabitants are called Vivarais .
geography
Le Vivier-sur-Mer is located about 19 kilometers east-southeast of Saint-Malo on the English Channel . Le Vivier-sur-Mer is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cherrueix in the east, Mont-Dol in the east and south-east and Hirel in the west.
