It belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Malo and the canton of Dol-de-Bretagne (until 2015: canton of Pleine-Fougères ). The inhabitants are called Gréhaignois .

Saint-Georges-de-Gréhaigne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Beauvoir in the north and northeast, Pontorson in the east, Pleine-Fougères in the south, Sains in the southwest and Roz-sur-Couesnon in the west and northwest.
