Trévérien ( Breton : Treverian ) is a French municipality with 884 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Malo and the canton of Combourg (until 2015: canton of Tinténiac ). The inhabitants are called Trévérienais .

geography

Trévérien is about 36 kilometers north-northwest of Rennes . The town lies on the ship channel Canal d'Ille-et-Rance and on Leno . Trévérien is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Plesder in the north, Pleugueneuc in the northeast, Saint-Domineuc in the east, Trimer in the southeast, Saint-Thual in the south, Saint-Judoce in the west and Évran in the west and northwest.

The former route nationale 137 (today's D137) runs through the municipality .
