La Fresnais ( Breton : An Onneg ) is a French municipality with 2,541 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . La Fresnais belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Malo and the canton of Dol-de-Bretagne (until 2015: canton of Cancale ). The inhabitants are called Fresnaisiens .
geography
La Fresnais is about 14 kilometers east-southeast of Saint-Malo near the Atlantic coast . La Fresnais is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Hirel in the north and east, Mont-Dol in the southeast, Roz-Landrieux and Lillemer in the south, Saint-Guinoux in the southwest, La Gouesnière in the west and Saint-Benoît-des-Ondes in the northwest. The place has a train station on the Rennes – Saint-Malo railway line .
