Les Iffs is one of the many small towns of France in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine of the region Bretagne . Les Iffs belongs to the Arrondissement of Saint-Malo and the canton of Combourg .

location

The municipality is only 4.52 square kilometers and is located between 53 and 141 m above sea level, southwest of Tinténiac , west of national road 137 and north of department road 27. It has 272 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

history

The place is first mentioned in the 12th century when a castle was built here. It was the seat of the Lords of Tinténiac. It was here that Bertrand du Guesclin was knighted in 1354 ; Jeanne de Lavel , his second wife, whom he married in 1373, came from Montmuran. The current parish church dates back to the 15th century.
