Passion window in Les Iffs

The Passion Window in the Catholic parish church of St-Ouen in Les Iffs , a French parish in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in the Brittany region , was created around 1545. The leaded glass window was added to the list of architectural monuments in France in 1906 as Monument historique .

The central window in the choir was in the studio of Michel Bayonne in Rennes created, which created many stained glass windows in the region.

The four lancets are each divided into five scenes, which are viewed from left to right and from bottom to top. The 20 scenes describe the passion of Christ . In the tracery (also known as the tympanum) the Majestas Domini ( Latin for glory of the Lord ) can be seen above. Four more scenes in the tympanum represent the Last Judgment .

In addition to the Passion Window, eight other windows from the Renaissance period have been preserved in the church (see navigation bar).
