Passion window in Beignon

The Passion Window in the Catholic Church of St-Pierre in Beignon , a French parish in the Morbihan department in the Bretagne region , was created in 1540 (the year is in the second scene from the left on the upper sequence of scenes). The stained glass window was added to the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique in 1912 .

The central window in the choir was created by an unknown workshop. It shows various scenes from the life and suffering of Jesus . In addition, scenes from the life of the apostle Peter are shown.

Around 1860, parts of the window were restored by the E. Chappe studio in Nantes and the arrangement of the scenes changed.

In addition to the passion window , the root Jesse window from the Renaissance period is still preserved in the church.
