Passion window (Visseiche)
The Passion Window in the Catholic parish church of St-Pierre in Visseiche , a French parish in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in the Brittany region , was created in the 16th century. The stained glass window was added to the list of architectural monuments in France in 1990 as Monument historique .
The window was in the studio of Michel Bayonne in Rennes created, which created many stained glass windows in the region. The two-part window shows Jesus below, carrying the cross and falling, and how Veronica gives Jesus the handkerchief . The upper part shows Christ on the cross (see also: Stations of the Cross ).
When the high altar was installed in the 17th century , the passion window was moved from the choir to the nave .
In addition to the Passion window, another window ( Le Seigneur de la Montagne agenouillé devant la Vierge , the founder Jacques de Champégné kneels in front of Maria) from the Renaissance period has been preserved.
