Passion window in La Martyre

The Passion Window in the Catholic parish church of St-Salomon in La Martyre , a French commune in the Finistère department in the Brittany region , was created around 1540.

The two-part window in the choir comes from an unknown workshop. It shows four scenes from Jesus' ordeal : Jesus and the sleeping disciples on the Mount of Olives, Judas kiss , Jesus is scourged and Jesus is put on the crown of thorns .

In tracery two angels with the Arma Christi shown. The coats of arms of the donors were originally in the white panes.

In addition to the Passion Window, three other windows from the Renaissance period have been preserved in the church (see navigation bar).
