Window judgment of Ivo Hélory in Plonévez-du-Faou

The Judgment window of Ivo Hélory in the St-Herbot Catholic Chapel in Plonévez-du-Faou , a French commune in the Finistère department in Brittany , was created in 1556 (the year is written on the window below). The leaded glass window was added to the list of architectural monuments in France in 1906 as Monument historique .

The window in the choir is from an unknown workshop. It depicts St. Ivo Hélory († 1303) in his judicial office. The rich man on his left, whose gold coin Ivo does not accept, tries to bribe Ivo. Instead, he turns to the poor man on his right side. The scene is adorned by a magnificent architectural frame.

The window was restored and supplemented in 1886 by Eugène Hucher and his son Ferdinand in the stained glass workshop of the Carmelite Sisters of Le Mans .

In addition to the Judgment of Ivo Hélory window, there are two other windows from the Renaissance period in the chapel (see navigation bar).
