Pastitsio
Pastitsio ( Greek παστίτσιο pasˈtitsçɔ from Italian pasticcio < folk Latin pasticium < Latin pasta ) is a typical casserole dish in Greek cuisine and comes from the Ionian Islands .
Along with moussaka, pastitsio is one of the most famous Greek casserole dishes. In its most common form, it consists of a layer of tubular pasta with some grated kefalotyri . Put a layer of minced meat on top , covered with another layer of maccheroni and cheese. The top layer is a bechamel sauce sprinkled with kefalotyri .
