Pat is an ancient Egyptian deity.

historical development

This deity has been documented since the Middle Kingdom . During this period the "Pat-people" the gods in God's Tent "praise", worship in the New Kingdom , the "Pat-Man" together with the Rechit the deity Amun . In addition, it is mentioned in the New Kingdom that the “Pat people” “cannot harm” the deceased. The deity of the "Pat people" also occurs in other "Pat subsidiary forms".

In the Greco-Roman times , one of the three faces of courage symbolized the face of a “pat man” who wears the white crown of the south and the red crown of the north . They pay homage to the newborn god child. The deceased sees the "Pat people with an Areq bandage on their head", while the Rechit wear a "Peri bandage on their neck".

Iconographically , the deity "Pat-Menschen" appears on the one hand as a group of three kneeling people in cheer who have raised their arms. On the other hand, the deity "Pat-Menschen" shows herself as a winged goddess with a double crown. Behind and in front of the head of the goddess are two vulture heads with a double feather crown.
