Pat Gelsinger
Patrick Peter "Pat" Gelsinger (* 1961 in Kingston , Jamaica) has been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of VMware since September 2012 .
Gelsinger was CTO of internal collaborations and later Senior Vice President and Manager of the Digital Enterprise Group at Intel . As CTO at Intel, Gelsinger helped develop the “ Intel Developer Forum ”, the counterpart to Microsoft's “ WinHEC ”.
In September 2009, Pat Gelsinger left Intel to serve as President and COO of EMC Information Infrastructure at EMC .
Gelsinger is the author of Balancing Your Family, Faith, & Work and co-author of Programming the 80386 .
