Patrice Killoffer (born June 16, 1966 in Lorraine ), called Killoffer , is a French cartoonist and illustrator.

life and work

Patrice Killoffer was born in France in 1966. He started drawing comics in 1981 and later attended a comics class at the School of Applied Arts in Paris. Together with Lewis Trondheim , Stanislas, Jean-Christoph Menu , David B. and Mattt Konture , he founded the French publishing house L'Association in 1990 .

With his colleagues from L'Association, Killoffer organized a major exhibition in 2000 as part of the Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d'Angoulême and published the anthology Comix 2000 .

He publishes his stories in Lapin magazine at L'Association but also at the French publisher Le Seuil . In collaboration with Joann Sfar and Lewis Trondheim, he designed an album for Delcourt in the Donjon Monsters series . In addition to working on his comics, Killoffer has made a name for himself with his many illustrations for daily newspapers, especially for Liberation .

The books How to Bed Yourself , The Key to Freedom and Six Hundred and Seventy-Six Apparitions by Killoffer and in the Donjon Monster series by the band The Armies of the Deep have so far been published in German by Reprodukt .
