Patricia Ofori (born June 9, 1981 in Kasoa , Ghana ; † April 20, 2011 in Huntsville , USA ) was a Ghanaian soccer player.

Career

Patricia Ofori began her career with the Ghanaian club Mawuena Ladies and went to the USA in 2005, where she played for the A&M Bulldogs from 2005 to 2007 while studying at the Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University . After the 2007 World Cup, she ended her active football career.

International career

Ofori made her debut for the Ghanaian women's national soccer team in 2003 and was nominated twice for a World Cup. She took part in 2 world championships for Ghana . She was twice in the squad for the Women's World Cup , but she did not appear in either tournament in 2003 and four years later in the 2007 Women's World Cup .

death

The former Black Queens footballer had a fatal accident in her car on April 21, 2011. She bumped her Ford Mustang head-on into an oncoming Toyota Tacoma on the highway towards Pulaski Pike and burned in the wreck of her car. She was buried in Accra in late April 2011 .
