Patrick Baumann (born January 8, 1982 in Tivaoun , Senegal ) is a Swiss football player .
The midfielder joined in 1999 by his boyhood club FC Biel for Grasshopper Club Zurich , where he first in the 2000 National League A was used. From January to June 2001 he played for FC Winterthur before moving to FC Zurich . For the 2002/03 season, the offensive player joined FC Thun . After playing two seasons with Neuchâtel Xamax from 2004 , Baumann returned to FC Thun in July 2006. Here he played until April 2007. From then on he was initially without a club. In the 2007/08 season Baumann moved to FC Grenchen , where his father Kurt worked as a coach.
After a season with Grenchen, Baumann moved to the Bernese Oberland to the Thuner Quartierverein FC Lerchenfeld and thus to amateur football, where he played until his final resignation in 2015. Patrick Baumann has been coaching FC Länggasse since the 2018/19 season. In his first year as coach, he was promoted to the 2nd regional league with the local club from Bern.
With the selection of Switzerland Baumann took part in the U-21 European Championship 2004 in Germany.
