Patrick Dogue (born March 9, 1992 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German modern pentathlon .

The sports soldier, who began his active career at TSC Erding in 2004 , lives and trains in Potsdam , where he starts for OSC Potsdam . His greatest sporting successes include winning the German Championship in 2013 and 2015 and a runner-up at the 2016 World Cup in Sarasota (USA), one of the best German men's results for almost a decade. Due to the second place in the World Cup, he was able to secure a good starting position in the international qualification ranking of the umbrella organization of modern pentathletes ( UIPM ) for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro , so that he was finally accepted as a successor in the field of 36 starting athletes and finished in 6th place. For Dogue this meant participating in the Olympic Games for the first time. In 2019 Dogue won the world championship title in the relay with Alexander Nobis . At a height of 1.97 m, his competition weight is 81 kg. He is trained by Claudia Adermann .

In addition to competitive sports, Dogue is studying physical engineering at the TU Berlin . His brother Marvin is also a modern pentathlete in the national team.
