World Championships in Modern Pentathlon 2019
The World Championships in Modern Pentathlon 2019 took place for men and women from September 2 to 9, 2019 in the Hungarian capital Budapest .
The most successful nation was Belarus , whose athletes won two world titles and a bronze medal. Germany took fourth place in the ranking of the most successful nations: Patrick Dogue and Alexander Nobis became world champions in the relay. In the women's relay, Annika Schleu , Rebecca Langrehr and Janine Kohlmann secured the bronze medal.
The top three of the individual competitions qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo . Since Joe Choong and Kate French were already qualified for this, their quota places were canceled. Instead, the respective starting place was assigned via the world rankings.
