At the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo , a total of two modern pentathlon competitions are to be held from August 5 to 7, 2021 . One competition should be held per gender. As competition venue used for the competitions in epee fencing the Musashino Forest Sports Plaza . The competitions in 200 m freestyle swimming , show jumping and combined ( 3200 m cross-country running / pistol shooting ) are to be held in the Tokyo Stadium .
