Patrick Koslow (born January 6, 1985 in Landshut ) is a former German ice hockey goalkeeper .

Career

From the offspring of the traditional Lower Bavarian club Landshut, where he went through all youth teams, he then moved to the Mannheim ERC, the Jungadlern Mannheim, where he also played in the Regionalliga Süd with the Jungadlern Mannheim in the 2000/01 season , he switched to the season 2001/02 to Augsburg, where he was used in addition to missions in the 2001/02 season with the Augsburg Panthers mainly in the regional league team and in the DNL team of the Augsburg EV.

It was clearly noticeable, however, that the now 1.78 m tall and 65 kg weight rather skinny professional still lacked a lot of experience and so his DEL statistics with 5.83 goals conceded and 87.5% catch quota are from the 2001 season / 02 rather moderate. But the Panthers continued to trust him and took him on as the second keeper in the squad for the 2002/03 season. In his five appearances this season, however, it became clear that he still needed time. Again, 6.37 goals conceded and 80.5% catch rate were not convincing. He came to further assignments in the youth and amateur team of Augsburg.

In the next season he got a production license of the Augsburger Panther again and played almost the entire season at EHC Munich in the league , with which he reached the playoff semifinals. And his average of 2.52 conceded goals from 19 appearances in the regular season and 2.23 from nine games in the championship round made him one of the best keepers in the league.

In summer 2004 he moved to the Krefeld Penguins for the 2004/05 season . Equipped with a sponsorship license , he mainly plays with the Duisburg Füchsen and was significantly involved in their promotion to the DEL. In the 2005/06 season he was the second goalkeeper of the Penguins after Robert Müller , but was loaned out by the Duisburg goalkeeper due to a series of injuries.

He had a contract with the penguins until the end of the 2007/2008 season. This contract contained a bilateral option to terminate the contract on April 30, 2007. This option was used and so he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for the Bietigheim Steelers in the 2007/2008 season . His contract with the Bietigheim Steelers was terminated in October 2008. With this, Koslow ended his active playing career.
