Patrick Ortel

Patrick Ortel (born March 21, 1990 in Hagenow ) is a German radio host .

Career

Patrick Ortel first grew up for a few years in the small Mecklenburg town of Hagenow, and later in the countryside in the municipality of Gammelin . Already during his school days and still after his Abitur at the Hagenow Robert-Stock-Gymnasium he directed the student radio and thus began his radio career. He studied at the University of Greifswald and the University of Rostock , the teacher in the subjects German and Protestant religion .

Ortel has been involved in Protestant child and youth work since 2006, and has been running the RatzPlatz holiday project on a voluntary basis , Germany's largest inclusive outdoor project for children , for several years .

Ortel has been a freelance presenter at Rostock radio station Antenne MV since June 2016 and has been employed on January 1, 2018. He moderates the drivetime show “Antenne MV - Off into den Feierabend”, Monday to Friday between 3pm and 8pm.

Awards

On December 4, 2018, Ortel was awarded the 2018 Radio Seal of the Grimme Academy for excellent training ( internship ).
