Antenne MV (1999–2008: Antenne Mecklenburg-Vorpommern , 2008–2009: Hitradio Antenne Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ) is the first private radio broadcaster in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It was broadcast from May 31, 1993 to 2016 from the Funkhaus Plate , located south of Schwerin , and from Rostock since March 1, 2016.

The program corresponds to the adult-contemporary format and is aimed at the target group of around 29 to 49 year olds. The majority of the share capital is 52% owned by Regiocast GmbH & Co. KG, another 35% belong to Kurierverlags GmbH & Co. KG ( Nordkurier ) and the remaining share capital is held by five other shareholders.

Along with Ostseewelle, Antenne MV is one of two large private radio stations in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

history

For a while, the broadcaster organized the Antenne Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Whitsun Open Air as a birthday party on the natural stage in Ralswiek ( Rügen ). Well-known national and international artists performed there. In 2008 the party for the station's 15th birthday took place in the courtyard of the Funkhaus in Plate, at which the German singer Peter Schilling was the star guest. On the 20th birthday, the party also took place on the grounds of the Funkhaus - the star guest was the Glasperlenspiel .

In the middle of 2007, Antenne Mecklenburg-Vorpommern closed its outdoor studios in Rostock , Stralsund and Neubrandenburg . In July 2010, some news editors from Antenne MV were fired. Most of the news comes from Regiocast Radioservices from Kiel .

As of March 1, 2016, the new main broadcasting studio in Rostock was moved into. The outdoor location Plate should be used according to the company. The outdoor studio in the Marienplatz gallery in Schwerin , which has only been used sporadically, is to become more important in the future. Political reporting from the state capital is to be expanded from there.

As a media partner of the football club Hansa Rostocks , Antenne MV broadcasts all home games of the professional team live.
