Radio transmission systems on Rügen

Three broadcasting locations are used on the island of Rügen for radio and television broadcasting.

• In Garz one is transmitter for FM -Hörrundfunk and DVB-T -Fernsehrundfunk operated. A 190 m high, guyed steel truss mast is used as the antenna carrier. ( 54 ° 19 ′ 25 ″  N , 13 ° 20 ′ 29 ″  E )
• The programs of Deutschlandfunk Kultur and Deutschlandfunk are broadcast from a broadcast tower near Sassnitz-Dwasieden, a free-standing precast concrete tower . ( 54 ° 30 ′ 48 ″  N , 13 ° 35 ′ 59 ″  E )
• From the oldest radio broadcasting location in Rügen near Putbus , Deutschlandradio's program was temporarily broadcast digitally on medium wave in DRM mode until January 1, 2010 . ( 54 ° 21 ′ 36 ″  N , 13 ° 29 ′ 14 ″  E )
