Schwarzwaldradio is a private radio program from Baden-Württemberg , operated by the Private Rundfunkgesellschaft Ortenau KG and the Schwarzwaldradio digital Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH. Markus Knoll is the managing partner.

history

As early as December 1987 to September 1991, a station called  Schwarzwaldradio  from studios in  Freiburg im Breisgau broadcast  on the frequency 101.1 MHz from the  Blauen station , which was finally taken over by Radio Regenbogen , which still uses this frequency today. Schwarzwaldradio initially started as a local radio program on July 1, 2008 on the VHF frequency 93.0 MHz in the Middle Kinzig Valley (Ortenau district, Baden-Württemberg). On May 6, 2012 it was switched to the DAB + network in Baden-Württemberg (Channel 11B). This went hand in hand with the editorial orientation as a “holiday radio” for the Black Forest. In this context, a partnership was established with Schwarzwald Tourismus, the umbrella organization for the Black Forest districts, communities and cities.

Since September 1, 2016, Black Forest radio can be received throughout Germany in DABplus- Bundesmux (channel 5c).

Schwarzwaldradio's music program is MOR (Middle-of-the-Road). Under the slogans “Classic Hits and Super Oldies” and “Germany's largest jukebox”, the music editors around Peter Oehler and Sven Steiner made a selection from more than 20,000 titles from the 1960s to the present day. The music program is characterized by a large number of special programs (including soul , rock , disco , country ) and the consideration of listeners' wishes. Analogous to the OHRbits on Hitradio Ohr, there are Schwarzwaldtaler on Schwarzwaldradio. This is a bonus system in which the listeners collect points by interacting with the broadcaster and can then exchange them for various rewards. Participation is free.

You can hear well-known radio voices such as Walter Fuchs , Rainer Nitschke ( WDR , SDR , SWR ), Uwe Carsten (Hitradio Ohr), Thomas Schminke (including RPR1 , SR 1 Europawelle , delta radio Kiel and Radio Brocken ) and Sandra Laeske on Schwarzwaldradio ( Radio Drops , Radio Ladies First, Euroradio, Hitradio Ohr).

In terms of content, Schwarzwaldradio says it offers radio for connoisseurs with exclusively positive news - apart from the hourly world news. The focus is on activities around the Black Forest including tips on leisure, wellness and cuisine.

Frequencies and transmission area

In digital radio (DAB +) the program can be received nationwide on channel 5C. The program can be received via VHF in the Middle Kinzigtal on 93.0 MHz, as well as in local cable networks. There are other reception options via live stream on the Internet and via mobile app .
