Ostseewelle HIT-RADIO Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is a private radio station in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern of the private radio Landeswelle Mecklenburg-Vorpommern GmbH & Co. Studiobetriebs KG . It is broadcast from the radio house on Warnowufer 59 a in Rostock . The national private radio started its program on June 1, 1995.

The station reached around 136,000 listeners in an average hour in 2019 (2017: 164,000, 2018: 151,000). Along with Antenne MV, it is one of two large private radio stations in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

The program consists of a mixture of older and especially current music tracks based on a Hot AC format. For this purpose, news from all over the world is sent every hour and regional news from Rostock / Rügen, Neubrandenburg and Wismar / Schwerin several times a day at half an hour.

The moderator Andrea Sparmann ("Der Gute Morgen") was a member of the 14th Federal Assembly of Germany.

The VHF transmission area is divided into three regions, on which Ostseewelle HIT-RADIO Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania also broadcasts regional news and advertising information. There are three main frequencies.

In addition, additional frequencies are switched in some regions / cities for optimal FM reception. This enables better marketing of the advertising blocks, since customers can advertise in their region.
