Patrick Rothe (born September 24, 1981 ) is a former German handball player . His body length is 1.98 m.

Rothe played in the youth of TV Bittenfeld and later made it into the 1st team. With the TVB in 2006 he was promoted to the 2nd Handball Bundesliga South . In the 2nd Bundesliga Rothe played for TVB and later for SG BBM Bietigheim . In four seasons Rothe played a total of 123 second division games for Bittenfeld and Bietigheim from 2006 to 2010 and scored 354 goals.

After a two-year break, Rothe was signed to the district division TV Oeffingen from summer 2012 . He later moved to TSV Schmiden and rose to the top league with it in 2015 .

Rothe held the position of a right back player , but was also used as a right winger .

At HSG Schmiden-Oeffingen, Rothe coached various youth teams. Rothe has been assistant coach at VfL Waiblingen Handball since summer 2016 .

In 2006 Rothe was awarded the sports merit plaque of the city of Waiblingen for special services to sport .

Rothe is a trained businessman in wholesale and foreign trade . He lives in Oeffingen .
