Vicente Paúl Ambrossi Zambrano (born October 14, 1980 in Guaranda ) is a former Ecuadorian football player .

Ambrossi is of Italian descent and has played for the top Ecuadorian club LDU Quito since he was 17 . After it took some time to break through, he has been an indispensable regular player at his club since 2002 and, in addition to two championships with LDU, has also had many successful international appearances. In addition to his reliability, the plus point is his great flexibility: Ambrossi can be used from a defensive player to a left winger, in his first championship year 2003 he scored ten goals this season. In the 2008 season he won the Copa Libertadores with his team . In August 2009 he signed a contract with Rosario Central in Argentina, but returned to his home club the following year. He played three more years for LDU Quito, where his stakes were less. At the beginning of 2013 he moved to Club Cerro Porteño in Paraguay, but was only used once there. He returned to LDU Quito after half a year. He ended his career in 2014.

In the Ecuadorian national team , however, he was mainly a defender in action. There it was not until 2004 that he became a regular player in qualifying for the 2006 World Cup and from then on he played in all of the remaining 13 qualifying games. Accordingly, he was also included in the World Cup line-up in Ecuador .
