Paul Brandenburg (medical doctor)

Paul Brandenburg (* 1978 in Berlin ) is a German doctor , publicist and entrepreneur.

Life

Brandenburg completed a medical degree at the Charité in Berlin and in Japan . In 2008 he received his doctorate at the Charité and went to Zurich University Hospital as an assistant doctor . In 2010 he returned to Berlin because as a German he felt bullied in Zurich. After working in cardiovascular, general and transplant surgery as well as intensive care medicine, he specialized in emergency and rescue medicine . Since 2011 he has been a specialist in general medicine with an additional qualification in emergency medicine.

His experience with the traditions of German medicine and the mechanisms of the health industry inspired him to write the book Clinics and Side Effects in 2013 . In 2015 he founded the online start-up DIPAT as a service for the independent creation of living wills. At the beginning of 2017, the company received a total of two million euros in investments from Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen and Madsack Mediengruppe . In September 2017, DIPAT received another million-euro investment from Axel Springer in the form of media services.

Paul Brandenburg is a board member of the "Spitzenverband Digitale Gesundheitsversorgung eV"

He lives in Zurich and Berlin.
