Paul Brenner (politician)

Paul Brenner (* 11. September 1905 in Niederbrombach ; † 17th November 1988 in Birkenfeld ) was a German lawyer and politician of the CDU .

Life

Brenner attended elementary school and later graduated from the humanistic grammar school in Birkenfeld. He attended the German Seaman's School in Hamburg and studied law and political science in Bonn , Kiel and Göttingen . In 1932 he passed the legal traineeship at the OLG Celle , and in 1933 he was awarded a Dr. jur. obtained his doctorate and passed the assessor examination in Berlin in 1937. He became a legal assistant at the Birkenfeld office and a judge at the Oldenburg regional court . From 1939 to March 1946 he did military service and was an American prisoner of war. After that he was initially a laborer in a wood goods factory in Göttingen and in 1949 became a lawyer in Birkenfeld.

In 1933, Brenner joined the Jungstahlhelm and was later transferred with this to the SA . He left the SA in October 1934 and rejoined the SA in October 1937. In 1937 he became a member of the NSDAP .

In 1955 he joined the CDU. From 1952 to 1956 he was a member of the city council and second alderman of the city of Birkenfeld. From 1956 to 1960 he was a member of the district council and the district committee Birkenfeld. In 1960 he was again a member of the city council and first alderman Birkenfeld.

From 1959 to 1967 he was a member of the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate . In the state parliament he was a member of the border region committee and legal committee.
