Paul Bugeja

Paul Bugeja (born January 17, 1913 in Sliema ; died August 14, 1993 ), in the Maltese spelling : Pawlu Bugeja , was a Maltese member of the British Army and an author who worked in the field of adult education for the Ministry of Education in the field of disposal of illiteracy on the Maltese islands worked. He is known as the author of Kelmet il-Malti , a widely used and extensive Maltese - English , English-Maltese dictionary , which appeared in various editions and editions.

During World War II he worked for the Intelligence Corps of the British Army in India , where he taught English (in Basic English ) to Italian and Japanese prisoners of war in prison camps .
