Paul Bunyan is an American animated short film directed by Les Clark in 1958.
action
One day a lumberjack found an oversized baby in his village. The villagers named the child Paul Bunyan . One Christmas day, the teenager Paul was given an ax and now he cut the trees in the forest. When there was no more work for him, he moved west. One cold winter day, when even the fire was frozen to ice, he found an ice-rigid, giant bull, which he thawed and called babe. Both became inseparable friends.
Paul and Babe now worked together, straightening rivers or inadvertently forming mountains and waterfalls in America during their friendly arguments. However, they couldn't keep up with the progress. When Paul asked the electric saw agent Joe Muffaw to drop a tree because he believed himself invincible, he succumbed. Paul then retired with Babe to Alaska , where the northern lights are still evidence of their activities.
