Paul Burger (politician)
Georg Paul August Burger (born August 20, 1887 in Heilbronn , † August 11, 1947 in Trossingen ) was a German politician .
Life
Born the son of a businessman , Burger studied law in Tübingen and Berlin after attending grammar school in Heilbronn . During his studies in 1906 he became a member of the Germania Tübingen fraternity . After his first exam in 1911, he was promoted to Dr. iur. PhD . His second exam followed in 1914. He took part in the First World War as a volunteer . After the war he became a lawyer and, from 1919, a syndic of the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce and from 1924 of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. From 1919 he was also editor of the Württembergische Wirtschafts-Zeitschrift . In 1919 he became a member of the German People's Party (DVP) , for which he was a member of the Württemberg state parliament from 1928 to 1932 .
