Paul Caffyn

Paul Caffyn (* 1946 ) is a New Zealand canoeist who circled numerous islands in a sea ​​kayak .

Caffyn worked as a geologist in the lignite mining of his home in Runanga on the west coast of New Zealand.

Kayak expeditions

  • 1978: Bypassing the South Island of New Zealand. The expedition started along the fjord coast together with Max Reynolds. Later, with shore assistance, Caffyn paddled on alone and completed the bypass in 76 days.
